His Story

Ahmad Foreman was only 18 years old when his life was tragically taken on January 15, 2017, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Police responded to reports of gunfire around 10:05 p.m. in the 500 block of Fannel Street in the city’s Garfield neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found Ahmad lying on the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Ahmad was from the East Liberty area of Pittsburgh. His death shocked members of the community and added to the growing concern over violence affecting young people in the neighborhood. Despite the investigation, police have struggled to identify those responsible for the shooting.

Ahmad was only beginning his adult life. He was someone’s son, friend, and loved one — a young man whose future should have been filled with opportunities and experiences that were never given the chance to unfold.
