💙 Sending Love Only
I Finally Admitted I Wasn’t Okay
For months, I kept telling everyone I was “fine.” I went to work, smiled when I needed to, and handled my responsibilities like nothing was wrong. But inside, everything felt heavy. I was exhausted all the time, snapping at people I cared about, and waking up every morning with a knot in my stomach.

One afternoon, I was sitting in my car after work, hands on the steering wheel, unable to turn the key. I wasn’t crying. I wasn’t panicking. I just felt… empty. Like I had run out of whatever energy keeps a person moving.

That moment scared me enough to finally reach out.

I called a close friend and said the words I had been avoiding:
“I don’t think I’m okay.”

She didn’t judge me. She didn’t tell me to “be strong.” She just listened. And that simple act — being heard — made me feel less alone.

A week later, I met with a therapist for the first time. I was nervous, but it was the first space where I didn’t have to pretend. We talked about burnout, emotional overload, and how long I had been carrying everything by myself.

It wasn’t a magical fix. Healing took time. But slowly, I started sleeping better. I learned how to set boundaries. I learned how to ask for help before everything collapsed. And most importantly, I learned that struggling doesn’t make me weak — it makes me human. My therapist and friend have helped me so much.

If you’re reading this and you’ve been pretending you’re fine… you don’t have to do it alone. Reaching out was the first step that changed everything for me.

That felt good...getting it off my chest
